Lita (Life Is Torturing Awesome) is anti-conceptual visual artist.

Upon completion of professional art education, Lita headed her pervert power to digestion and rethinking of social frameworks. Mainly dissecting the mass culture by means of collage, she glamorously contemplates on global entertainment in order to turn distraction into mass awareness.

One of her key practices is recycling of paper agents into bizarre multigender creatures and illustrations in order to catalyze the novelty, and reinforce non-commercial values. Besides the reinvention of conventional cadavers Lita is bothered by the unknown and charmed by the essence of flesh matter that causes inevitable fragility of being. Can’t learn from happiness? Enjoy suffering!

Developed her own semi-abstraction manner in painting and graphics, Lita splashes her unique perspective on vibrant distortion seasoned with twisted transformations and corporeal decorativeness! Unlock the potential, fight boredom and ordinary, dare to join the vulnerable flow!

This is for you if you have created something that you want other people to know about. Could be your band, your zine, an exhibition, a performance piece, your shop, a festival, a cake, a mixtape, a book you’ve published, a regular event, your group, collective or organization, etc.

skill sharing – offer your skills to help out others in their projects

This is for you if you are interested in sharing some of your skills, creativity or talents and want to learn through working with and by supporting others.

calls – you have a call and are looking for submissions

This is for you if you run a zine, a blog, a festival, have a little shop, etc. and would like for people – maybe from outside your usual bubble – to submit their work to you.

media multiplierS – you are part of or work for a media outlet

This is for you if people can pitch their ideas, projects or work to you, because you are looking for interesting things to report about and want to elevate and support queer artists.

hosts – you have a space for shows, exhibitions, djs, workshops, guests, etc.

This is for you if people can contact you, because they want to organize something in your city/location and you want to elevate and support people that might not have built up a big network of their own just yet and/or you want for yours to grow.

Which membership is for you?

Every member can take part in all of TQU’s projects. No one else can.

Star Club Members: Give two to five Euros per month to make it possible for TQU to survive.

Shining Star Club Members: Give six Euros or more to help TQU grow and implement even more.

Volunteer Star Club Members: Don’t have to pay a membership fee, but instead offer to volunteer their skills, knowledge or passion.
