Who’s fighting for the rights of the LGBT community in Poland? Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) groups & organizations range from social and support groups to organizations that are political in nature. Some groups are independent, some are more radical than others, some are aligned with other bigger umbrella or religious organizations.

Fabryka Równości. We originated from a local Campaign Against Homophobia group. We are currently the biggest group in the whole region, supporting and fighting for the rights of non-heterosexual people.

Kampania Przeciw Homofobii. The Campaign Against Homophobia (KPH) is a nationwide public-benefit nongovernmental organization with non-profit status working for the equal rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. We were established in 2001.

Miłość Nie Wyklucza to organizacja pozarządowa, o zasięgu ogólnopolskim, której celem jest promocja idei równości małżeńskiej i wprowadzenie do polskiego prawa zapisów o pełnej równości małżeńskiej rozumianej jako prawo do zawarcia małżeństwa przez wszystkie osoby niezależnie od ich orientacji psychoseksualnej czy identyfikacji płciowej.

Tolerado – Ania works as a sociologist and psychologist at The University of Gdańsk. For the last couple of years she has been instrumental in LGBTQ activism, organizing personal coaching sessions and anti-discrimination workshops. Recently she has joined the Tricity Chapter of Wiara i Tęcza (Faith and Rainbow) Group. Wiara i Tęcza provides a space for people of all faiths who have doubts, are searching, and want to talk and develop their spiritual sides. She is convinced that miracles do happen and that any limits to their greatness, if any, lay in one’s imagination. “I am here because in Tolerado and previously in Campaign Against Homophobia, I have gotten to know beautiful people. It is a source of friendship, an oasis of tolerance and passion for life.”
